About Kevin

When Kevin was a kid, he saw Ray Harryhausen’s “The Golden Voyage of Sinbad” and knew then that he wanted to make monsters. He made home movies developing his skills as a Special Effects artist, and attended the UCLA School of Theater, Film, and Television where he received a Magna Cum Laude and created the short film “Stream of Fire”, which won several student film awards throughout California.

Upon graduation, he worked creating traditional creature effects for such films as Edward Scissorhands, Predator 2, The Addams Family, and Darkman. He eventually moved into digital effects bringing his creature creation talents to such films as Stuart Little, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, Hollowman, Ghost Rider, and I Am Legend. He also contributed to the first feature-length 3D all-CG film, The Polar Express.

He traveled to London to work for Double Negative where he worked on John Carter, Dark Knight Rises, and Les Miserables. 

He returned to the US and currently works for the Walt Disney Animation Studios having lent his talents to Frozen, Frozen 2, Zootopia, Wreck It Ralph 2, and Raya. 

Recently, Kevin was inspired to make an animated short film, "Weeds", which won many awards and was featured in festivals all over the world.
